New build apartment building within Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter.

Located within Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter Conservation Area, the site is long, narrow and constrained by new developments. The site currently contains a vacant narrow, long, two storey light industrial unit, a building type and use now inconsistent with the largely residential redevelopment progressing in the local area and in the  immediate vicinity of the site.

 

D5 were therefore commissioned to design a residential redevelopment of the site in response to the developing character of the area. The resulting design creates a five-storey, blue brick and metallic detailed apartment building accommodating 10 apartments varying in size from 1-bed to 4-bed units with private roof top terraces.

 

D5 obtained Full Planning Permission for the project and now awaits instruction to commence Technical Design for a Design & Build tender.
