D5 Architects were commissioned by the US based Avjet Corporation, a global leader in business jet charter, brokerage and management to develop proposals for a new build business jet hub at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Nigeria.

The facility includes an FBO of 12 hangars for aircraft and crew with passenger lounges, reception and administration, a 2 aircraft MRO including workshops, training facilities and 6 external covered stands. The main FBO is laid out along a central axis with courtyards at intervals forming a spine giving individual access to all hangars with lounges and a unique airside canopy for set down and pick up of passengers from the exclusive individual lounges.

First floor offices and meeting spaces are arranged around courtyards bringing daylight deep into the centre of the building.
